Alcohol and Drug Addiction Workshop Schedule

Physical Aspects

Day 1. Central Nervous System & Dry Drug/Dry Drunk

The use of mind altering substances (legal or illegal) creates a Central Nervous System (CNS) disorder that affects individuals on the physical, emotional, and mental levels.

This disorder creates an imbalance on a physical level, and also causes the emotional and physical to experience “dry drug/dry drunk”.

Emotional Aspects

Day 2. Emotional Intelligence (EI) & Self Talk

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is being willing and able to “respond” appropriately to the words and actions of another rather than “react”.

“Self Talk” - We all underestimate the power of language and most of us have lived with negative self-talk.

Behavioural and Communication Aspects

Day 3. Change - Do you have what it takes?

There are four aspects or ingredients to change, and this workshop will also focus what is required to develop new positive behaviours.

Day 4. Caring - An inescapable part of life.

Raise awareness of caring for self and others and identify what is useful, not only in our working lives, but in our daily lives.

Day 5. Responsibility - Beast of Burden OR Beauty of Bearing
