Nationally Accredited Training:

Certificate IV in Alcohol & Other Drugs Work

Whether you are an entry level student, or currently working in the field and looking to increase your skills, this course is for you!

Our courses are delivered in small groups of 8-10 students to allow for optimal discussion and feedback.

We use a variety of assessment techniques to ensure a complete understanding of the course content. Lessons will be structured by using a combination of PowerPoint presentations, case studies, group activities, and some off-campus visits throughout the year.

Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Work

Some of the units offered are as follows:

• Orientation to the Alcohol and Other Drugs sector

• Respond Holistically to Client Issues

• Work with Clients who are Intoxicated

• Provide Alcohol/and or Drug Withdrawal Services

• Assess the needs of clients who have alcohol and/or drug issues

• Utilise specialist communication skills to build strong relationships

• Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers

• Provide brief intervention

• Provide support services to clients
